A Wisconsin man convicted of illegally shooting a wolf will have to pay $1,500.
According to the MNR, the incident took place last November in the Dryden area. A man who was deer hunting on private property shot and and killed a timber wolf even though he did not have a valid wolf seal.
The carcass was then dragged into the woods and concealed.
The wolf was later found by an MNR conservation officer, who was able to determine the identity of the shooter.
As a result, a Hayward, Wis., man has been fined a total of $1,500.
